Long and red in the 80's or short and in electric colors in 90's, nails always grab attention. For the new century both tendencies come together and the struggle lays in keeping it simple, so that they stay perfect for a week and for all occassions. Leave the complicated looks for Royalty or celebrities, all of them with an army of celebrities after them and note down our suggestions.
- Scissors: The first step for manucure. They are available in any department store in many brands (Sephora, Elite, Superdrug, If, etc).
- Nail shaper:Unavoidable after having redifined your nails. Opinions contradict here, but the metal ones are usually not recommended. Available in your favourite department store.
- Cuticle sticks: Push the cuticles to remove then later with the fix. They can be bought single or in packages and are cheap and long lasting.
- Cuticle fix: Eliminates the cuticles; apply, let it work, and then remove with water. Pinaud and Revlon are some of the brands that includes it in its line.
- Transparent nail polish: Use it as a base coat and then add it over the colour for a shiny effect, like Brilliant Top Coat by Deborah.
- Porcelain coloured nail polish: This is an always suitable colour. Picks:223 See Through Peach by Max Factor, Couleurs Nature Nature de Rose by Yves Rocher.
- Dark coloured nail polish: A colour for a more sophisticated look, whether a sensual night or for going out with friends. Look for it in Maybelline, Rimmel, Cover Girl, Urban Decay, or Me Me Me. Picks: 67 Wonder Violet by Maybelline, Q 132 Rhythmic Blue by Cover Girl.
- Nail polish remover: Many are the options, only one the easiest, the remover included in a sponge formula. Dip and twist and it's ready. Magic Nails and Pretty Quik are some of the brands.
- Nail&hands cream: Moisture nails and hands at once and don't look any further. Try Vaseline's or Superdrug's.
