Move That Body! Top 5 Work Out Videos

Pilates and yoga are winning the battle for the new working out technniques, as the frenzy of 80's and 90's, impersonated in aerobics, doesn't seem to fit in the new era, more concentrated in inner balance and meditation. However, for those who still need training hard, here's a selection of the most effective and amusing videos.

1) Yoga Rhythms by Gena Lee Nolin (Manga Films, 1998): Universal dance, yoga, and stretching join in a 35 minutes training, enjoyable since the first minute. Created by the specialist in tribal dances and yoga April Underwood and by the instructor Jackie Potter, it was coreographed by Linda Shelton, an internationally known fitness expert. The Baywatch Gena Lee Nolin stars the tape, easy to follow, and with suggestive ambientation, though it has some tough moments for beginners in the strechting section.

2) Lean Routine by Jane Fonda (Warner Home Video, 1990): A program designed to lose weight, it's divided in three parts of aerobic dance smooth and of high energy, that includes nutrition advice The program can be followed from beginning to end, for 60 minutes, or in 20 or 40 minutes. Easy even for beginners, first time in full can be quite hard, but this ends with practice, and can be really fun when you learn the coreography. This program has been revised and aproved by a team of doctors, like cardiologists, sports fisiologists and orthopedic surgeons.

3) Your Personal Best Workout by Elle MacPherson (Filmayer Video, 1995): Karen Voight, international fitness specialist has designed this program, that covers all parts of body, and that has been tested in her own gym. Easy even for beginners, it borrows exercises inspired in other sports, like basketball and becomes working out in a total experience. Exercises with weights can become the hardest part in the first rounds, but just for a moment. The music and the location are very encouraging.

4) Shape Your Body by Cindy Crawford (Goodtimes Home Video, 1992): Estimulating is the most accurate word to describe it, as Seal and Primal Scream are the soundtrack for this sessions and the locations are the beach or the top of a building. Moreover, Cindy looks her best with desirable outfit, and a total implication. Designed by Radu, known as the hardest trainer in New York, it doesn't give a rest but it worths every drop of sweat. It is divided in three programs, two of 45 to alternate, and one of 10 minutes when there is no time. Although all body is trained, you'll notice the best results in legs and bottom. For the sessions, you won't need more than a chair, a mattress, and some weights.

5) Power&Strengh by Donna D'errico (Manga Films, 1998): Even though its terrible ambientation, with a punishable illumanitation of low budget film, this video really works. D'Errico and trainer Bret Johnson, with exercises designed by Linda Shelton, fulfill their promise of burning calories and winning resistance and flexibility. It just takes 35 minutes of your time and will. At first, the aerobic section seem a bit difficult, because it includes many different movements and not very well explained, but just then. A mattres and some weights is your working material.
