The Body Shop Make Up Autumn-Winter 2009/2010: Pearlescents

This season the brand founded by Annita Roddick goes back to land to create a make up collection inspired by trees and clay, but that could fit in disco nights. Shine like a star with metallic shades, and seduce with earthy lips.

Respecting the environment and animals it’s no synonym to uncoolness and last campaigns of The Body Shop prove it so, with its beautiful images and innovative product designs. This autumn we face a dramatic promotional, with the model evoking Caravaggio, hypnotizing with her intense eyes, and boxes that remind maps and metallic sticks. Eyes are the focus of this trend, with the trios of green and lilac (01 Moonlight Lustre) and of brown (02 Sundown Glow), and the new range of metallic definers (five shades, from turquoise to aubergine).

Cheeks and lips remain in the background, with the blush trios in pink (01 Cool Dusk) and in brown (02 Sundown Glow), and the lipsticks in pink and apricot (14 Pink Ginger, 10 Soft Heather, 49 Berry Shimmer, 50 Velvet Apricot).

Make Up Collection Spring-Summer 2008: The Body Shop> Spring Bloom

A turn back in time to the glorious 80's is the wager of the British brand, becoming more modern with every collection, and proving the respect for nature and to human kind is not a synonym to unfashionable. This time, the daisies illustrate the star product. Put on your best dress and jump to the dancefloor! Lancôme launched almost a decade ago a collection with the same spirit, starring Elizabeth Jagger, but emphasizing lips with corals instead of with rose. The girls from The Body Shop are not vamps but sweet, they show their best without looking aggresive. The picks for eyes are green, gold, blue and peach; on the other hand, for lips, the chosen ones are pink and peach; cheeks are rose as after being under the sun.
