Model, actress, fashion designer, writer, business-woman, and involved in several charities, Iman has been a role model since the 70s, when she left Africa to start in fashion business. In 1994 she gave a step further with the creation of Iman Cosmetics, addressed to every race, and with the release of her book The Beauty Of Color (2005).
Iman, last from left to right.
When a black model appearing in a make up campaign seemed an utopia, Iman reigned over the catwalk with her feline style. It took several years to find different races in brands as Estée Lauder, Maybelline, Bobbie Brown, L’Oreal, Mac, and Revlon, and that’s what impulsed Iman to create her own brand.
Iman Cosmetics design face treatment line according the skin type (combination, oily skin, dry, hyperpigmented), has 12 foundation shades, and a design basic and refined as the ones of Nars and Mac.
Her web, among others, helps to recreate some looks of her shoots (New York and Company or Hello Canada), shows the trend for this Autumn (Femme Fatale), and cosmetic makeover videos.
